Yesterday I was accused of not updating my blog.  Which means I may be up to 4 readers now, so I guess I should give you something to read.....yeah, I've got nothing.  Check back later.

In two days I'll begin one of the most difficult journeys of my life (literally).  The initial plan is to spend 9 days on the Appalachian Trail around the NC/TN border and travel around 135 miles.  The physical challenge doesn't compare to the mental one.  I'm not sure anything can truly prepare you for the mental challenge of pushing yourself through the pain in the many forms that it takes.  I know that doesn't sound like fun, but there is something almost hypnotic about being out there.  No other place do I feel as connected to creation.  It's a true worship experience.  That said, I can't wait to get back out there.  I can hardly contain myself.  The next two days will seemingly never end....

It fascinates me how willing people are to spill there emotional or intellectual guts out for all to see.  So I have a blog now.  I guess this is the part where I spill my own guts.  Well I'm not entirely sure I'm ready to be that transparent for the whole world.  There's really no telling how I'll choose to use this blog.

For now I'm just going to talk about my new camera.  It's really the whole reason I'm reactivating the website.  I need a place to post my pictures and really don't want to deal with those "free sites" you know, the two big ones that I'm not going to name here because they don't need anymore publicity.  So anyways, back to the camera.  I just received my Olympus Stylus 770 SW today.  It's the first camera I've ever bought so I don't know what to tell you if you're looking for some kind of expert review.  This isn't it.  So after spending about 10 minutes taking pictures I think I like it.  The one feature that really drew me to it was how tough it was.  I was looking for something that would be hard for me to ruin while spending long amounts of time in the wilderness.  It's small too.  On the Olympus shows it next to a golf ball so you can see how small it is.  I'd say if you really want to know more about the camera details just check  the  Olympus site yourself.
